PRECAUTIONS AGAINST ADULTERATION. Press Association.—Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. London, May 28. In the House of Commons, Mr. Gardner, President of the Board of Agriculture, replying to a question, said that he had noted the case of the Gosport merchant who was charged with selling adulterated Australian butter, which had been guaranteed pure by importers, but had afterwards been found to contain 17 per cent, of foreign fat.
