The following is the report of the gum market and ruling quotations, as furnished to us by the committee of trum merchants :— Poor Ordinary, which comprises weak and rough-coated pieces, pickings, and washed nuts. £28 to £32. Ordinary, meaning hard rough - scraped gum, varying in price according to the quantity of washed nuts, ranges from £35 to £40. Superior ordinary, meaning hard, unpicked range gum, price varying according to size, scraping, and freedom from weak pieces, from £45 and upwards. East Coast, £68 to £70._ Supplies from the Ist instant to date, 421 tons. An active demand still continues for superior ordinary and East Coast. BY TELEGRAPH. DUNK DIN OATS. Donkdin, March 20.—Oats : The tone of the market is unsatisfactory. Deliveries are now assuming large dimensions, and with an increased number of growers desiring to quit at once, the market is slowly but surely tending downwards, And should sales continue to he forced, it will be impossible for even the present prices to hold good. Quotations : For prime teed and mill. Is 2M to Is 3d: good to best feed, Is 2d to Is 2Jd ; medium to good, Is l£d to Is 2d ; musty and inferior to medium, 9d to Is Id (ex store, sacks extra net).
