Chiustohuroh, Monday. The yachts Mascotte and Pastime will leave Lyttelton to-night for Wellington to take part in the regatta on January 22nd.
Napier, Monday. The dead body of Luke Hußchorf was found in the Tutaekuri River, near Puketapu, on Saturday. At the inquest held to-day an open verdict was returned. Wellington, Monday. Mrs. Reynolds, wife of a publican ab Ngahaurangn, was found dead in bed at four a.m. She had spoken to her husband two hours before, complaining of headache, but refused to have a doctor, thinking it was merely temporary indisposition. She was well known on the West Coast of the South Island, where she resided for some years with her husband.
