London, January 8. A severe snow-fall. has taken place in Scotland, France, and Italy. Many villages and trains were snowed up. Inverness is isolated by snow.
Many people have been frozen to death in Hungary. At Orbi, a rescue party was unable to reach the villagers imp risoned by an avalanche.
