SUPPOSED SUICIDE.

[by TELEGRAPH.—PRESS association.] Lyttelton, Sunday. The body of a man was found on the road between Lyttelton and Christchurch this morning. It is considered to be that of a workman named William Robertson, who arrived at Lyttelton on Saturday night by the steamer Queen of the South. Doceas id was last seen alive at six a.m. to-day, when he left the boarding-house where he had stayed the night, with the intention of going to Christchurch. A small strap was twisted tightly round the neck, and the police consider he has committed suicide. Be appears to be about 35 years of age, and stands five feet seven inches.
