FIRE AT INVERCARGILL.
[bt telegraph.—press association.] Invkrcauoiix, Sunday. A fire broke out in Quinn's Bacon Factory yesterday, and was not extinguished till the older wooden portion, and the roof of the brick building, were destroyed. Stewart, Captain of the Southern brigade was overpowered by the fumes while getting the safe out and was removed to the hospital for a time. The insurances are : Building, £100 in the South British; stock £1000 in the Commercial, and £1000 in the .North German. The damage is estimated at) £1,900. '
