[BY TELEGRAPH.own correspondent.] Tacranga, Saturday. The Government steamer Terranora has been busily engaged all day attending to the harbour buoys and putting them in order. The I'apamoa Land Association has at last become un fait accompli, the necessary deposit having been paid, and all the undertakings signed. The Association receive 12,000 acres, the pick of the block, and the Government are left with all the inferior parts of the block. The survey is to be at once started, now the deposit is paid, and will probably be undertaken by Air. R. C. Jordan, the lccal surveyor. There are twelve members of the Association and even that number will soon make a difference in the look of the country between hero and Te Puke, but the Association idea meets with anything but public approval hore. [BY telegraph.—PßESS association.] Greymodtii, Saturday. The coal export for the week is 1508 tons. The timber export is 86,700 feet. Westi'OKT, Saturday. The coal export for the week ended today was: From the Mokihinui mine, 135 ; from the We»tport Coal Company's mine, 3202 : total, 3337 tons. Wellington, Saturday. The Railway Commissioners have decided to issue workmen's tickets in parcels of 12 instead of 50, the lowest number hitherto procurable. The price will be proportionately about the same. It is also decided, in the interests of small settlers, to carry bonedust in parcels of oewt and upwards at the same rate as large quantities.
