It is reported that very rich gold-bearing stone ha* been discovered by Henry and Purser, j§ Cutle Cove, Preservation Inlet. Three claims of 30 acres each have already been taken up. The reef is supposed to extend a considerable distance through country which is-unbroken in which case it is believed a new gold field will be opened «P- __' REEFTON GOLD RETURNS. The following are the Reef ton gold returns for the week Cumberland, 1790z from 75 tons ; Hercules, 1440z from 78 tons; Progress, 1440z from 140 tons ; Big River, 171oz from 70 tons ; Alpine, 812oz from 310 tons.
