At half-past twelve o'clock yesterday afternoon the Union S.S. Company's steamer Mahinapua, Captain W. J. -Newton, arrived from Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth. Mr. G. A. Hodson, the purser, reports :—Left Wellington at 10 p.m. on the 15th inst, and arrived at Nelson at 8.30 a.m. on the 16th. Left again at 9 p.m. for Taranaki, arriving there at 1 p.m. on the 17th. Left again at 10.30 p.m. the same day for the Manukau, crossed the bar at 11 a.m. yesterday, aud reached the wharf as above. Experienced light winds and seas as far as Nelson, thence to arrival strong westerly winds and sea. The s.s. Glenelg arrived from New Plymouth at six o'clock yesterday morning with a general cargo. Shortly after seven o'clock yesterday morning the ?.s. Kanieri arrived with a large cargo from Hokianga. She left again at six p.m. for Raglan, Waitara, and Opunake.
