WELLINGTON LICENSING COMMITTEE.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, Friday. At the adjourned mooting of the Wellington Licensing Committee the application for the Queen's, Cricketer's Arms, and Star Hotel, which were adjournod owing to an objection that the houses were frequented by disreputable persons, were renewed, the applicants receiving a severe warning «a to their future conduct. Tho license for the Panama Hotel was renewed, but the appli cant was told that he must reside on the premises. The committee refused an application for the renewal of the license of the Wellington Hotel, owing to the intemperate habits of the licensee, but adjourned the case until July 14 to admit of a fresh licensee being procured. An application for the Branch Hotel was refused, tho com mitteo expressing the opinion that the house was not required. At the request of counsel the case was adjourned until June 30.
