AN ESCAPED PRISONER CAPTURED.
[by telegraph.—-press ASSOCIATION, J Dyttelton, Monday. Dknnison, the prisoner who escaped recently, has been captured. He got into tho house of a man at Heathcote Valley, and when the girl got up to light the fire, she found him sitting over some embers in the fireplace. The girl soreamed, and her father ran and caught Dennison. Mr. Cleary, governor of the gaol, who was on the watch not far off, heard her screaming, ran up, and the prisoner was handed over. Dennison presented a wretched appearance. He had nothing on but drawers and shirt. It had rained heavily all night, and he was soaking web. He had had no food for 24 houru.
