A SATURDAY HALF-HOLIDAY.
[by telegraph.— association.J Wanganui, Friday. The Wanganui shopkeepers have agreed almost unanimously to observe the halfholiday on Saturday afbornoon, making Friday night the business night. This evening the shops were all open till ten, and although there wore nob quibe as many people in town as on Saturday evenings, it is confidently expected that the public will soon geb accustomed to the new departure. Dunedin, Friday. The streets had a more animated appearance to-night, when most of the shops were kepb open.
