AN OFFICIAL LIQUIDATOR IN TROUBLE.

[BY. TELEGBAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Saturday. A peculiar case was heard in the Supreme Court to-day. T. S. Proudfoot, official liquidator of the Wellington Co-operative Butchery Company, had been served with a notice by the creditors to file a final statement of accounts and distribute the proceeds of the estate. This he had failed to do, and was brought up by the sheriff under a writ of attachment. He asked for time. Counsel said he had been given every opportunity of supplying the statement. His Honor said he might grant a remand, bub he doubted whether he could release him on bail without the consent of the creditors. There were certain sums of money unaccounted for, and the defendant had rendered himself liable to imprisonment for nob supplying the account. Finally, he was remanded in custody till Tuesday.
