POKENO FOOTBALL CLUB. The annual meeting of thoPokeno Football Club was held in the Pokeno School on Friday evening, May 20. There was a fair attendance of players at the meeting, and Mr. Geo. Dean was voted to the chair. The following officers for the ensuing season were elected :— President, Mr. W. Motion'; vicepresidents, Messrs. A. M. Rust, W. F. Pyne, and C. T. Edwards; captain, Mr. G. Dean ; vice-captain, Mr. G. W. Elliott; secretary and treasurer, Mr. C. Vinson ; committee, Messrs. J. Dean, L. Avey, S. Vinson, and A. Craig, to act with captain, vice-captain, and secretary.—[A Correspondent.] The Ponsonby Football Club left for the Thames by the steamer Chelmsford last night. They are to play a match with the Thames Club to-day, returning to-night.
