Our To Kopuru correspondent writes This match was fired on Saturday, September 12. The wind was blowing from the right across the range, and very puffy, which made the shooting uncertain at; time?. The following are the scores made : Joseph Morpeth, 71; Win. M. Woodhead, 67 Geo. Little, 66 ; J. A. Walker, 65; Fred. Wilson, 63 ; C. Molloy, 62 E. Hillary, 62 ; Win, J. Bnssebb', 62; S. Edmonds, 60; S. Webb, 50. Total, 6:28 points. 1 see by the Herald and by telegram received from the City Guards' secretary, that we have given them a great beating. Their score for nine men is 481. Take nine of our men, and it gives us 578, winning by 99 points. Our riflemen having been so successful in this match, are thinking of challenging the "A" Battery. The range if. in excel lent order, and practice or match firing goes on every Saturday afternoon. The rifle club in fact is one of the most successful institutions on the river.
