Mr. Henry H. Goughton, German Consul at Dunedin, is dead. . * For tho last week or so Mr. Carlaw, sen., the turncock at the Ponsonby Reservoir, has been dangerously ill of inflammation of the bowels. He has been attended by four medical men, and they regard his case as a very serious one. ■
