[BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Waima, Friday. A great native meeting opened here today to take into consideration tho necessity of the federation of the Maori tribes throughout New Zealand for political purposes. Hapakuku Moctara, chief of the Waimamaku, one of the delegates from the Southern tribes for the above purpose, has been addressing the meeting most of the afternoon. Six hundred people are on the ground. A largo hall, 80 by 25, has been built for the meeting.
