PORT OF ONEHUNGA.
I ARRIVALS. Wanaka, s.s., J. Meads, from the South, "'assengers : Mesdames Phillips, Smart and .amily, -srs. Packer, Kundson, Larchin, Collier. Simkin, Forgmore and son, and six j steerage.—A. Barnes, agent. The Northern Company's s.s. Gairloch was unable to leave for \\ aitara yesterday, owing to the strong westerly gale blowing, and the heavy sea running along the coast. The hour of her departure is announced in another column. The Union Co.'s s.s. Wanaka, Captain J. Meads, from the South, arrived yesterday morning at 10 o'clock. She left Lyttelton at 9 p.m. on the 19th. and arrived at Wellington at 3.30 p.m. 011 the 2Uth ; sailed again at 7 p.m., ami arrived at Taranaki at 12.30 p.m. on the 21st ; sailed for the Manukan at "2 o'clock crossed the bar at S a.m. on the 22nd. and arrived as above. Yesterday the non-U crew of the s.s. Gairloch were discharged and Union men shipped in their places, many of the latter being those who came out of the vessel on strike IS months ago.
