THE MOSGIEL WOOLLEN FACTORY COMPANY.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Donedin, Tuesday. At the annual meeting of the Mosgiel Woollen Factory Company the report, recommending a dividend of 8 per cent., was adopted. Mr. John Roberts, chairman, reviewed the history of the year's operations, and said it had been a satisfactory and pleasant one. They had started with misgivings, as the prospects were gloomy, but they were now more cheerful. Referring to the Melbourne Exhibition, he said the exhibit of the company's goods had not only been appreciated by every New Zealander who nad visited tho Exhibition, but hns been an universal object of attraction to ali who attended. Victorians and the people from the other colonies were not slow to give praise to these goods. The effort made by the company had been rewarded very handsomely in causing an increased demand for the Mosgiel goods, and the sales that had resulted since the opening of the Exhibition had amply repaid the company for the outlay. Messrs. E. B. Cargill and H. F. Hardy were re-elected directors. It was decided to authorise the directors to subscribe £250 towards the guarantee fund of the local exhibition.
