MISS AMY SHERWIN'S CONCERTS.

Last night was the third of the season of Miss Sherwin's Concert Company in Auckland, and certainly as respects attendance and enthusiasm of the audience, tho success was complete. Thero was a large crowd at the doors before thoy were opened, and every seat in the different divisions downstairs was occupied some time before eight o'clock. Most of the upstairs places had been reserved, and there also very few, even of the back seats, were unoccupied. Tho first piece was the well-known "Excelsior," eung by Messrs. Stockwell and Sherwin, and for which thoy were accorded an encore. Miss Minna Fisdier followed with " Forget, Forgive," find Mr. Stockwell with "Tho Message" (Blumenthal), both of those performances being well received. Miss Sherwin the recitative, and Polonaise, " Mignon " (Thomas), a piece in which she has an excellent opportunity of displaying the capacity and flexibility of her voice. In answer to an enthusiastic encore, she sang "Old Folks at Homo" with tho sweetness and simplicity which best accords with the spirit of that tender melody. Miss Sherwin had to comply with an enthusiastic recall. The flute solo (fantasia by Bucher) by Mr. John Lemmono was encored, when the performer gave '' There's Nae Luck Aboot the House." The most effective pieco of tho first part was that which concluded it, the quartette "Good Night," from the opera of " Martha." This was beautifully rendered, and was encorod. The favourite tenor aong "Good Night, Beloved," was tastefully sung by Mr. Stockwell, and Miss Fischer rendered tho popular " Scenes that are Brightest," from "Maritana," whilst Mr. Lcinmone contributed as a Huto solo, Briccialdi's "Fanbasic on Scotch Melodies." The entertainment concluded with tho garden and jewel scone from "Faust," tho role of Margaret being taken by Miss Amy Sherwin.
