The small engine has been removed to near the Moanataiari Extended shaft. The winding gear, frame, and pulley wheels that were connected to the email engine,' have all been taken down, and are now being removed to make room for the new engine. New FKARNOUGirr.— The drive is still going through a splendid class of country, and a large number of mineral veins are crossing the face. The leader has been within the past week very much broken up, owing to a break crossing the face of the drive, and having driven through this break, it has again opened out to 2 inches in width. Colours of gold were seen yesterday distributed through the quartz when breaking down. Gold was seen freely in a small stringer branching from the main leader, where it functioned or crossed the break. The drive nas been extended 7 feet during the past week, making the total distance driven to date 21 feet.
