WAIROA SOUTH.
The annual meeting of the Presbyterian Church was held here on the 19th March, the Rev. T. Norrie in the chair, who constituted the meeting with praver. The treasurer's report for 18S7 was submitted, as follows : — Receipts : Cash in hand, and sundry receipts for building fund, £39 13s fid ; sustenation fund, £54 19s 9d (this being a decrease of £7 Ss 3d as compared with the previous year); schemes of the church, £2 9s ; collected by Misses Henderson and Alexander for Dayspring fund, £2 (is; Sabbathschool fund, £3 13s lid: total, £103 2s "2d. Expenditure : Paid general treasurer of stipend fund, £54 19s flu ; treasurer of missions, £4 15s; Sabbath-school prizes, £.'{ l.'-is lid; seats and furnishings tor new church and sundry expenses, £35 3s 4d ; balance in hand of building fund, £4 1 (M2d : total, £103 2s 2d. On the motion of Mr. James Matheson, seconded by Mr. James Henderson, the following resolution was passed : —"That the report read be adopted, and that the cordial thanks of the meeting be given to the committee, the choir, and Miss Bell as organist, and the superintendent and teachers of the Sabbath-scnool, and that the following parties be the committee for the current vear viz. : Messrs. James Henderson, John Henderson, G. A. Wilson, John Matheson (secretary), and James Bell (treasurer)." The meeting was closed with prayer.—[A Correspondent, March 20.]
