JgLAIKIE'S PATENT FIREPROOF PLASTER. I am prepared to execute and antes what I claim for tills patent—A FIRE-PROOF PLASTER. It will resist fire with boarded back SO minute*, without boarded back 60 minutes. It cannot, however, be guaranteed free from cracking, which is occasioned by shrinkage of timber (within 12 months, more or lets), and which is common to this as well as any other method of plastering; nor does my patent claim each an Immunity, plaater not being elastic, Bat 1 do guarantee that my Wire Plaitarlng will not (all from cracking, nor from the influence of fire, water, high winds, or shocks of earthquake. As a. safeguard against corrosion, I have so contrived that the wire netting will be completely sealed up in the centre of the plaster, thus giving it a fair face on both sides, with a double resistance to fire, water, and. air, and preventing the metal from conducting heat to the timber boarding or joist*. Wooden buildings can be plastered In this method both Inside and out. There are other method of wire plastering In which the mortar is hung on one side of the wire only, thus exposing it on the other side to the corrosive influence of fire, water, and air, and are hence inferior to my method in a moat Important point. - All works executed by mo will be kept in repair for 12 months free of charge.
