WAIPU CALEDONIAN GAMES.
The Caledonian gathering took place here Dn the 3rd January with great eclat. There were fully 500 people prejient. The park was gaily decorated with a profuse display of bunting. A raised platform was ereoted in the park for the convenience of the dancers. The thanks of the committee are due to Mr. J. G. Harper, of Auckland, for kindly coming to contribute to the day 8 success; and likewise to Mr. M. Whitelaw, of Kamo, for the impartiality of his decisions as referee.
