Sib,—The public now learn from Hannaford's own statement that he is the man who concocted and drew up the information which the polico were induced to place in the form of a serioua charge against myself. Of course, poor unfortunate man, he must have some excuse for hla bitter jealousy and revengeful feeling against . one who stands in his way in the same line of business. And here, he says, he is acting on advice from several gentlemen, and then ha invites the public - { to sympathise with himself on.a poor, friendless foreigner."
