THAMES DRAINAGE BOARD.

;— »■ A meeting of the Thames Drainage Board was held yesterday morning at their offices, Insurance Buildings. Present: Messrs. J. M. Lennox (chairman), Frater, Turtle, Saunders, White, Brodie, and Morric, The monthly report of the engineer stated that there had been two stoppages within the month, but the machinery was in good working order. The speed to keep the water down had been 3J strokes per minute. The expenses for the mouth would be about £249 10s ,'lldJ The financial statement was also read, and a feelIng was strongly expressed that the Board must push on the payment of contributions. A report was received from the Thames, represented by Colonel Fraser, for tbe full consideration of which the Board went into committee.
