DESTRUCTIVE FIRE AT RAGLAN.

[by telkgkaph.—own correspondent.] Raglan, Tuesday. The residence of Mita Karaka, of eleven rooms, with outbuildings, was totally destroyed by fire at half-past three a.m. Karaka was away, and his wife and family had a narrow escape. Nothing was saved but a little clothing. All the valuables and other effects were lost. There was no insurance.
