CITY OF AUCKLAND ADDITIONAL LOAN.

♦ Tenders for the fourth instalment (£25,000) of this loan are to be opened to-morrow, the 11th instant, at the London office of the National Bank of New Zealand, Limited, the Corporation bankers. We observe from our cable advices last week that the minimum has been fixed at 105. As last year's instalment of £25,000 was issued at 108 minimum, and realised £111 Is lOd, it is evident that the bank authorities do not anticipate as high a result this oocasion. I his, however, wo are not surprised at, after the poor result of our last colonial loan. The large, and now authenticated deficit of two and a-lialf millions in the New South Wales revenue will also have a depressing effect on investors in the London money market seeking colonial securities. The result of this year's issue should be cabled here early on Wednesday.
