THE SALE OF SYLVIA PARK YEARLINGS.

The annual sale of yearling stook at Sylvia Park will take place to-morrow, and will be conducted by Messrs. Hunter and Nolan and Mr. A. Buokland conjointly, A special train leaves for the nearest station to the Park—the Frozen Meat and Storage Company's siding—at noon, and traps will also leave Shortland-Btreet, conveying Intending purchasers to the sale. We have already referred to the excellence of the olass of yearlings to be offered. Of course the great attraction is in the fact that this is almost the last sale of Musket's progeny, and this has attracted buyers not only from the South but from Australia, and the Stud Company may, therefore, expect keen competition for their stock. Besides local buyers, there are at present here the Hon. W. Robinson, Mr. P. Butler. Mr. D. O'Brien, Mr. W. Douglas, and others. The Hon. James White, the tirst purchaser of the company's breeding, will also arrive by the Hauroto, from Sydney, this morning. The Hon. Mr. White has every reason to feel satisfied with his first ventures in Musket stock; for with such giants as Martini.Henry, Nordenfeldt, and Matchlook, he could not bat feel satisfied. It is also said that one of Victoria's great racing men, Mr. Long, has sent a commission to purchase at Sylvia Park.
