AUCKLAND FOOTBALL CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Auckland Football Club was held at the United Service Hotel last night. There was a good attendance of members, and Mr G. Garter was voted to the chair. The report; which was read and adopted, stated that in 1884 the club had 35 points to 81 gained by their opponents, while last year their opponents scored SO points to the club's 16, showing an improvement last season. The statement of accounts showed a credit balance of £2 Is 9d. The following new members were elected :—Messrs J. C. Webster, D. Jones, E. Russell, J. J. Johnston, P. Moore, C. D. Wilson, Twemloe, Pecker, Green, A. Johnstone, E. Randal!, H. H. Parker. T. Soloman, asd Walsh. The officers were elected as follows:—Captain, Mr. Gr.. Carter (reelected) secretary and treasurer, Mr A. M. Beale (re-elected); committee, Messrs T. Henderson, D. Jones, A. P. Moginie, J, K. M. Stewart, and J. C. Webster; delegates to the association, Messrs. G. Carter and J. C. Webster. It was suggested by the committee of the Second Fifteen that the club should point out to tho association the necessity of numbering the match grounds for the junior fifteens. The opening of the season was left to the committee to decide on, and the meeting adjourned with a voSe of thanks to the chairman.
