TE AROHA NEWS.

[BY TKLEGEAPH.—OWN COKRESPONDENT.I Te Aroh», Tuesday. A child about seven years old, niece of Mr. Arkell, of Auckland, had a narrow escape today from what might have been a very serious accident. While playing on the balcony at the back of the Eat Springe Hotel, she by some means slipped over and foil to the ground a height of about twelve feet. She was severely shaken, but fortunately no bones were broken, and it is expected that in a few days she will have recovered from the shock. The Kev. G. B. Munro, of Remuera, will deliver a lecture to-night in the Town Hall, on " The Life and Labours of Dr. Livingatone." The proceeds are to be given to the Public Library. There is likely to be a large attendance.
