» — ALLEGED INFRINGEMENT OF COPYRIGHT. [BY T*LRURAPH.— PRKSS ASSOCIATION'.! Wellington, Thursday. Supreme Court writs were to-day issued against Mr. H.N. Abbott of Auckland, Mr. Laehlau McGowan, Mr. Luscoiube Searello, and Mr. Charles Harding, at the suit of Mr. John Fatstone Adams, of London, proprietor of the copyright of the opera of Maritana, claiming £200 damages for unlicensed reprc senUtions of that opera by the company now performing at Wellington. An injunction restraining future performances is also asked for. Messrs. Buckley, Stafford, and Barton act for the plaintiff (whoso registered NewZealand representative is Mr. E G Gillon), and Mr. Travcr3 has accepted service on behalf of the defendants. Proceedings are also likely to be taken to restrain the performance of the Bohemian Girl.
