GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL.
PRESENTATION TO MESSRS. WOOD AND BRUCE. On Wednesday afternoon, after the work of the school had been concluded the young Sdies attending the Girls' High School fquested Messrs. Wood and Bruce, the ■ethers who are leaving, to attend a meeting which they were about to hold. Two of the elder pupils then -.same forward and presented to Messrs. Wood and Bruce an address expressive of their regret that they were about to leave the school, and of the high esteem which thev entertained for them as teachers. The ad'dresses were accompanied by elegant mementoes. To Mr. Wood was given a handsome silver ice-water jug and stand, engraved with name, Ac; to Mr. Bruce wa°s presented a microscope with fitting, slides, &c. Messrs. Wood and Bruce, who, on standing up, were greeted with loud cheering, thank- the pupils for the recognition which had been made of their connection with the school. „
