Price, Sydenham, Ist; gold quartz crushing machine (no competition), G. Ashcroft, Wellington, Ist; woven wire work (no competition), Chas. Bills, Dunedin, Ist; patent gas-burners (no competition), J. and T. Danks, Christchurch, Ist; shoemakers' lasts made of cast iron, Smith Bros., honourable mention. Additional awards in Class I : A. and T. Burt take the following:—Gaseliers, Ist; lead and composition pipes, Ist; plate zinc baths, Ist; fire hydrants and sluice valves and a goldsluicing plant, commended. The judges consider A. and T. Burt's exhibit worthy of a special gold medal for its variety and general excellence. Class H, section 2 Writing ink, of colonial manufacture, E.: Hill, Dunedin; C. R. Smith, Auckland, commended.
