DROWNING FATALITY NEAR RANGIRIRI.

[by TELEGRAPH.—OW.I correspondent.] Mercer, Saturday. It has just been reported here that a man named John Cox, a settler of Churchill, was drowned in the Rangiriri Creek near Rangiriri this evening. Cox and his mate, named Wilson, were returning by boat from Ragiriri Railway-station up the Rangiriri Creek to the Waikato River, and while In the act of setting the sail the boat capsized, Cox being drowned and Wilson saved. Cox's body has not yet been found. Sunday. Cox's body was found to-day. Mr. Searancke, Coroner, will hold an inquest to-morrow (Monday).
