MART LnUT, aged 49, wu hanged in May at Lincoln Prison, for the murder o£ nor hatband by poisoning at Wrangle, near Boston, on February 6. The culprit waa completely broken m sptnt. She screamed when Berry was carrying out the process of pinioning, and continued her lamentations until ahe was upon the acaftold, to which sha was assisted by warders. When the cap waa drawn over her face, and aa the bolt waa being drawn, she uttered another piercing shriek, and then feu dead. Berry allowed a'drop of nine feet, and used a rope ot Italian silk, which waa very supple. The execution waa pronounced by the governor and officials to have been very expeditiously and neatly carried ont. From the time of oommencing to pinion to the time of drawing the bolt scarcely four minutes elapsed, -
