The supply of fruit of all kinds has bem large, and prices good for large stuff in good condition, except for peaches, the quantity to hand of these has been much greater than the demand, and s large quantity wore small and inforior ; therefore prices have ruled very low, in fact very dilHcult to get off. Only the best samples, carefully packed in small cases, should be sent to this marker. Many are carelessly packed and inferior quality, which brings the price so low that those of better quality And properly packed will uot pay for the trouble. Potatoes have recedcd in price ; could not get more than 3a to 3s 6d for any quantity yesterday. Oniocs moved off more freely at 1:1 to ljri per pound. But little bacon to hand, good is wanted. Cheese has come to hand freely ; the demand is not great, prices rule low. Butter : Demand limited; all to hand sold. Furniture, etc.. in fair demand.
