Wednesday.—The To Anau is due from Russell. Thobsdat.—The Te Anau will leave for Melbourne via Southern ports at noon. IMPORTS. Per schooner Cleopatra, from Lyttelton : 100 sacks wheat, 150 3acks oats. Per schooner Natal Queen, from Bluff Harbour : 3500 sacks oats. Inwards Coastwise.—Coralie, cutter, from Mercury Bay, with 22,500 feet timber; Lake Scperior, barge, from Palari, with 31 log"; Start, cutter, from Ngunguru, with 20,002 feet timber; Lizette, ketch, from Thames, with 22,000 feet timber; Ghost, barge, from Omaha, with 55 tons firewood; Hose,, cutter, from Mahurangi, with 1100 bushels lime. Ootwards Coastwise.—Ghost, barge, for Whangapoa; Rose, cutter, for Mahurangi; Start, cutter, for Ngunguru; Lizetfe, ketch, fer Thames, with 46 tons coal. 3 tons flour, and 1\ tons sharps.

The brig Naiad upon discharge of her inward cargo will proceed to Mercury Bay, there to load timber for Sidney. The barque Clifton is at present loading timber at Russell for Adelaide.

The barque Frederick Bassil will proceed henoe to Whangaroa, thero to load timber for Sydney.

The schooner Adelaide is ou the berth, loading at Newcastle for this port with coal. She was advised to sail on the 6th insfc. (to-day). The barque Surprise is on the berth and loading at Timaru for this port.

The destination of the schooner Darcy Pratt is Timarn, and not Auckland as previously announced. From Timaru the schooner may possibly load grain for this port. The barque Natal Queen, from the Bluff Harbour, arrived yesterday afternoon, with a cargo of oats. Of the passage Captain Rogers reports : Left Blufi Harbour on the 13th ult., •with light winds. Passed Otago Heads on the 17th: thence till within 100 miles of Eist Oape, on the_ 25th, carried light southerly winds; from that time had strong if. W. and 3. W. winds till within one day of arrival; then a light N.E. wind entering the Barrier channel, on the morning of the sth ; thence till bringing np in harbour had light southerly wind. The schooner Cleopatra left Lyttelton on the 27th September at 4 p.m., with light variable winds, which continued until 28th, when it hauled from south, and freshened to S.E., and increased to a heavy gale. Hove ship to on Sunday, 30th, for six hours. On Monday, October Ist, at 4 a.m. rounded the East Cape, making the passage in 3 days 12 hours. After rounding East Cape experionoed strong variable winds from S.'W. and N.W. On October 4, at midnight light breeze from S.E. At 6 a.m., let go the anchor in Aackland harbour, after making the passage in the good time of 7 days 12 i hours.

The schooner Colonist when being towed out of the WiiiLara River yesterday got on the north bank.

The following vessels reported at the Customs yesterday Island Lily, schooner, from Timaru ; Cleopatra, schooner, from' Lytfcelton ; Progress, brig, from Oamaru; Naiad, brig, from Newcastle; Agnea Bell, schooner, from Karotonga; Jane Anderson, schooner, from Dnnedin.

The schooner Columbia,. from Napier, with a cargo of 40 tons potatoes and 12 tons bones, arrived in harbour yesterday morning early. The schooner Fleetwing, from Suva via Russell and Tairua, arrived in harbour at daylight yesterday morning. She during the day again entered outwards at the Customs for Suva.

Tho brig AnnaboJ, from LyttaltoD, arrived in harbour this morning shortly after 1 o'clock, with a cargo of potatoes, &c. She left Lyttelton on the 20fch ult,, and had fine weather to the EasS Cape, thence gales and head winds to arrival.

The Union Oo.'a steamship Southern Cross, from Southern porta, arrived in harbour this morning at about 3 a'cloek. She left Wellington on the Ist inßt. and arrived at Gisborne on the 4th. Loft again at 11 a.m. and called at Open Bay that eveninj. Had fine weather and variable winds throughout. PORT OF ONEHU-NG-A. ARRIVAL. Bowena, s.g., Scott, from Waitara.—A. Barnes, agent. DEPARTURE. Bowena, s.s., Scott, for Wanganui.—A. Barnes, agent. The steamers Douglas and Lalla Rookh are expected to arrive from Waitara to-day. The latter returns thither on Monday. The s.s. Eowena arrived at a quarter to eight a.m. yesterday from Waitara, with 20 .head cattle and 10 horses, and left again shortly after one o'clock in the afternoon for Wanganui, via Opunake, with 40 tons sundry merchandise. October s.—Arrived : Stella, s.s., from the North; Kekone, from a cruise round the islands. STRANDING OF THE ST, KILDA. "Wanqanoi, Friday.—An inquiry was held to-day by Mr. Lundon, Collector of Customs, into the stranding of the St. Kilda whilst entering the river early yesterday morning. The evidence showed that there was not sufficient water in the Channel for the St. Eilda, but that the. pilot allowed the steamer to enter, thinking she was the Oreti, a vessel of much lighter draught. The St. Kilda received no damage whatever, and was got off easily on the next flood tide. The depositions and Collector's report will be forwarded to Wellington.
