The Agent-General writes, under date February Sth, that the ship Kangitikci was despatched on the 31st of .January, from Plymouth for * ucklan l. She has OS) f-onls, equal to 0-1-j adults, including 53 single women, for Hawke's Bay; and 1!> 1 souls, equal to IT'S adults, including S9 single women, for Auckland. On the 31st or January the ship Oxford left Plymouth, for Wellington, with 2S sou's, equal to 24 adults, for Nelson ; lf> souls, equal to 7-i ad alts, for Taranaki; 21 souls, equal to 12 adults, for Westland ; and 23S souls, equal to 215J adults, for Wellington : the toial being 302 souls, equal to 273 adults, including 144 single women. lie states that 230 are now at I'ljjnoutn ready to cmba k by the Waipa for Canterbury, but the vessel was delayed on her trip down Channel by adverse weather. Tno Oxford and Rangitikei wi-re, after embarking the emigrants, delayed by stress of weather. He mentions that the ship Wild Peer has entirely broken up. A large quantity of luggage which was on board th*r unfortunate vessel was loit. A numbe' of nominated emigrants are waiting passage ! to various parts of the colony, and he states he will despatch these in March, but after that date lie will discon. tinue to send any emigrants till June.
