AN EXTRAORDINARY LETTER FROM A MINISTER.
[BY TKLKGIUrn.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] JJuxedin, Friday. Ab.iht three weeks ago the Daily Times reported briefly a lecture given by the Rev. A. C. Gillies on " Inspiration of the Bible." Yesterday a reporter of the Times (not he, however, who reported the lecture), received the following letter : —"Sir, —Before beginning my lecture on the * Inspiration of the JJible,' I stateil that 1 wished it to be distinctly understood that neither the Times nor the Star ia allowed to report any more, but I have been told that some time after tilts you came in. Of course you were not aware of what had been said before you entered. Now, to prevent possible misunderstanding in the future, I wish to say to yourself that your presence ie not desired in the North Dunedin Presbyterian Church, so long as lam the minister of it. Only Christians, aud such sinners as are worth saving, or at least arc capable of being saved, are welcome there.—Respectfully, A. C. Gilliks." The Times, in publishing the letter, suggests that Mr. Gillies wants looking after.
