TO TUB EDITOR. Sir, —Will you permit me on behalf of Mr. James Mace, retired champion of the worUl, to deny, through the medium of your journal, the statement which lias appeared ill two or more journals lately, to the effect that Mr. SI ace would be one of the attractions of the great fair, about to bo held at North Shore ou Momlay next. Mr. Mace has not made any arrangements so far as to his taking any part in the affair, neither has he authorised anyone to use his name to that eud. As appears by your advertising columns, Mr. Mace opens at the Lornestreet Hall on Tuesday evening next. by giving the above insertion you will greatly oblige.—l am, &c, H. EcCLErS.
