WAIKATO DISTRICT NEWS.

<, [bt telegraph.—own correspondents.] Hamilton, Thursday. Grove Vowibss was committed to-day on a charge of stealing a heifer, the property of W. White. The evidence was conflicting. At the meeting of the Waikato Cricket Association, held at Ohaupo, there were present : Messrs. Bodilly, Woods, Grierson, Cotton, and Spcrit. Several rules from the South Australian Association were selected and adopted. It was resolved that, if an arrangement could be arrived at, Waikato should send a team of twenty-two to play the All England eleven at Auckland. It vra.s also resolved that the county match, between Waikato and Waipa, should be played on the 9th February at Te Awamutu if po3uible, otherwise at Cambridge.
