Hamilton, Saturday. Tub meeting of the Hall Committee, adjourned until yesterday evening, was little more than formal, as an understanding had been come to between the vestry and the hall trustees to let the matter stand over for a fortnight, from the Ist proximo, to see. what is the fate of the £100 placed OA the supplementary estimates. By arrangement at the last meeting it was understood that if the trustees were not in a position to go on with the hall by the Ist August, the bazaar funds should be handed over to the vestry for tho purpose of building a Sunday-school. The matter will be definitely settled at the meeting of a fortnight hence. Meantime, tenders for the erection of a hall, not to cost more than £500, are to be at once called for. There are many who thought that the reclaimed swamp land at the Eureka would deteriorate year by year, but a visit to the Eureka station, the portion of 2000 acres of their property Bold some eighteen months ago to Mr. Suttor by the Waikato Land Association, will show that this is far from being the case. The farm is well stocked with cattle, but the grass even at this time of year, is ankle deep, better in fact, than on many of the best farms in Waikato in spring, The grass is. improving year by year. Tho newly reclaimed portion between the private road to the station and Captain Runciman's, is simply magnificent. A Juvenile Temple, in connection with Hamilton Good Templars' Lodge, No. 40, ha 3 been opened, and the following officers have been installed : Superintendent, Sister A. M. Palmer; C. Kelly; D. M., Alice Palmer; R. H. S., James O'Neill; L. H. S., G. Proctor.
Taupiri, Saturday. A body, supposed to be that of the boy Clarke, who fell from the Rangiriri steamer into the river, off Lamb's wharf, Ngaruawahia, some months ago, was found by a satire party, covered with sand, on the bank of the river above Rangiriri. The head and one leg and arm were wanting. Constable Hammond having received information of the discovery, had the body removed to Taupiri, where an inquest was held on it by Dr. Beale, and the jury came to the conclusion that it was the remains of Ed. S. Clarke.
