A CHILD DROWNED.
A little child; 2 J years old, of Mr. Keating, ' Cox's Creek, was drowned near his residence on Tuesday evening in a pool of ■water. It went out to play -with its little brothers; and, sisters, who some time afterwards rinßsed it, but thought it had returned home. ;,Upon proceeding thither they ascertained that the'cbild : iwas not there, and everyone turned out to : Bearch. : The child ■was, soon discovered Vying-with its head in the centre of la pool of. water,' and body out. The pool shelves inward and is about eighteen;inches-.at the deepest part. The body was quite- warm, and all were made restore' animation, : but without success.;; Medical'assistance vwas at once sent forj..but the" doctor'.. unfortunately was not at-home.
