TE KOOITS VISIT TO THE WAIKATO SETTLEMENTS.
[BY TELEGRAPCI, OWN' CORRESPONDENT.] C-VMEMnor., December 31. It is quite true that T-» ICocti was here. It is also true that he lias been in every settle merit in Waikato. It U likewise true that he returned to Mau-igatiutari without in any way referring to To Ariha. The natives he was in company with v'O.re King natives, often seen and known at Alexandra, land the rutnour of a liuudred is the tale of " our cat and another." If he has not returned to Tawhiac- he is still at Maungaiautari. He ?a';d that Cambridge was thja best place he hid aeon, and—would often come again at this reason. Maoris, like ourselve?, are moving among holiday-makers,' and characters like To Kooti think there is less chanco of recognition. I Ituve hcar(l_ that Pirrukulu was here last week. I don't think that any political importance attaches to any of thes-j things.
