TAURANGA. December 23.—Arrived: At f> a.m., s.f. Hawea, and atloa.m., s.s. Glenelg, both from Auckland. WELLINGTON. December 23.—Arrived : S.s. Stella, from Nelson; s.s. Kangatira. from Wangauui and the North; Waitaki, from Nelson. Sailed : S.s. Stella, for the Brothers' Lighthouse. TIMARU. December 23. — Arrived: Jane Douglas, schoouor, from Catling's River. Sailed : S.f. Taiaroa, for Lyttelton ; s.s. Ladybird, for Port Chalmers ; s.s. Hannah Barrett, for Oamaru : Marion, schooner, for Auckland ; Glimpse, for Wellington ; Millent, barque, for Adelaide. DUNEDIN. December 23.—The ship Bruce, from Calcutta, is ashore on the middle bank, at the entrance between the North and South Channels. At about 2 p.m. she came in without a pilot, and in defiance of tho signal that the bar w.is dangerous. Tho tug Koputai towed her off at 5 p.m. Arrived : D*isy, brig, from the Mauritius ; Alpha, ketch, from Owake Kivor ; Prince Rupert, ketch, from the Coast; Elizabeth Graham, barque, from London (September G); Bruce, ship, from Calcutta: Kotomahann, s.a., from Melbourne, via Hobart Town ; Beautiful Star, from Oarnaru. Sailed : Pearl, barque, for Lyttolton ; Florinda, barque, for Oamaru. POKT CHALMERS. December 23.—Arrived : S.e. Rotomahana, from the Bluff. Tho Albion Company's ship Auckland, SS days from Glasgow. She brings •J55 immigrants, and 13 saloon passengers. Forty cases of measles havo occurred during the voyage. Tho last case was convalescent yesterday. There were seven deaths (six infants and one adult) and five births. The passengers will be placed on the Quarantine laland, and the ship thoroughly fumigated before receiving pratique.
