The subject did not seem to take, as the audience consisted of seven men, and the same number of children. The lecture, which was a very good one, was much better attended in the central school. He also' gave an entertainment entitled, "Gold, Love, and Marriage, &c," which wa3 well appreciated. Mr. Hugh Fraser has turned his attention to cheese-making, and is turning out weekly a considerable quantity of the article, for which he finds a ready sale, his cheese being first-rate.
