This first-class coal still continues to give unqualified satisfaction for household purposes. It is clean, free from sulphur, is easily lighted, and emits very little smoke, and, at the same time, its intense heat-producing properties make it very economical. The attempts to force upon the market other and Inferior local coals, at lower rates, and, in some instances, to palm them off as Tanpiri, has only had the effect of more firmly establishing the latter in general favour. Large genuine Taupiri Coal can always be had in any quantities, at the Depot, opposite thj Railway* aUtlon, Breakwater. R. W. HAMMOND. Auckland, June 27, 1879. Agent.
