New Zealand Herald Office, Friday evening. The Customs receipts to-day were £137'2 ss9tl. At the extensive sale of furniture, mirrors, pianos, ic., &c., held by Messrs. E. and A. Isaacs, in the Albert Hall, to-day, there was a good attendance, and tho whole of the lots, numbering *Jli7, were quitted, with few exceptions. The priced realised were anything but satisfactory. Mr. R. Arthur reports a very full attendance at his sales to-day. Poultry were brought forward in large quantity, and all of good quality sold at fair prices. Produce of all kinds contiuues in good demand, but little could be offered by auction to-day, in consequence of so much fruit having been entered from local growers, and from Sydney, ex s.s. Hero. All in good condition realised fair prices, considering the large quantity in the market. Fowls sold at Is 4<l to 3s 3d ; ducks, Is to 2s ; geese, 2s Id to 2s 8d ; pigs, 5s Gd to 19s ; potatoes, 5s Gd to 6s (id ; onions, Id ; oats, 4s 7d ; bran (flour sacks), 10s ; sharps, 10s; oatmeal, Id to 2d ; flour, -i-'S to £12; bacon, 4d to Sd ; butter, Oil to lOd ; 1 cbeese, GW to 7Jjd ; sugar, 4|d ; tea (box), 23s to 24s ; lerrou-peel, 13d to 15d; tea (half-chest), la lOd ; apples, ljd to 2Jd ; pears, Id ta 4d ; plums, Orleans, 4d to 5Jd ; golden drop, 8d to ; black damsons, to 5d ; white damsons, 2d to 2.td ; quinces, I V'l to 2d ; oranges, 5s 9d to 7s 6.1; grapes, ljii to ojd. Furniture department very full; all second-hand sold well.
