UNIQUE REMEDY FOR A LOST VOICE.
Miss BalljeE. Patterson, of Boone County lost her voice on the 10th of July last. Shi has since that time been unable to Bpeak in a audible tone of voice. At the auggcstioi of her attending physician she went befor the Boone County Medical Association fc examination. The Association suggested th idea of an electro-galvanic battery, whic was tried, together with other remedies without any perceptible benefit. Recently while in Columbia, she met a Mrs. Humi who proposed to cure her by the use of ardei spirits. Miss Sallie having but little coi iidence in the virtues of that from which! much evil results, did not accept the offer her most generous benefactor. Their r medies having failed, a few days since si determined to try the spirits, the result which was the recovery of her voice whi in the worst stage of intoxication, —St. Lot Republican,
